Two in hospital after being rescued from Lake Ontario

A man and woman were hospitalized Monday after rescue workers pulled them from Lake Ontario.

Toronto police are investigating and are describing the incident as “suspicious.”

Poilice said officials located an unmanned Sea-Doo offshore at the Humber Bay substation in southern Etobicoke.

According to CP24, Toronto firefighters reported that Marine Unit police officers pulled a person out of the lake. The second person was later found during a search by first responders.

Toronto paramedics said they took two people to the hospital: a woman in serious but stable condition and a man in life-threatening condition, according to CP 24.
