(Update) Young Thug’s Attorney Files Emergency Bond Hearing Claims Prison Conditions Are ‘Inhuman And Excruciating’

brian steel, Young thug‘s attorney, on Friday filed an urgent motion for a bail hearing to release the rapper based on prison conditions.

According to WSBTV, Steel described the conditions in which Young Thug (real name Jeffery Williams) was being held as “inhuman and excruciating”. TMZ also says the rapper has no human contact and is “being held in complete isolation in a windowless cement compartment with only a bed and toilet.”

As previously reported, police arrested the 30-year-old Monday at his home in Buckhead on RICO charges along with 27 other people, including rappers Gunna (real name Sergio Kitchens). The indictment alleges that the 28 people named in the indictment are part of the Young Slime Life street gang in Atlanta and have committed crimes in the city since 2012.

On the 56 counts, Young Thug faces charges of conspiring to violate the Thug-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and participating in criminal street gang activities, according to prison records. The RICO charge relates to an incident in January 2013. The gang activity charge relates to an incident in May 2018.

The indictment also lists Young Thug’s social media posts and lyrics from his music as being considered “apparent acts to further the conspiracy.” Specifically, prosecutors recalled the following bars from “Ski” as evidence:

I fuck with slats and we come to ear rats and I came with fucking piranhas. The indictment also lists, “I carry an FN, call Neechi-Neech, it’s a Glock he’s keeping…Duke Rollin ’60’s, he’s locked in the C’s.”

Prosecutors are also charging Thug’s associates with obtaining permission from him to make a second attempt to kill YFN Lucci while he is in the Fulton County Jail on murder and racketeering charges.

Prosecutors allege that two YSL associates, CHRISTIAN EPPINGER and ANTONIO SUMLIN, worked to obtain the permit @Youngthug make a second attempt at murder @YFNLUCCI while incarcerated in Fulton County.

In addition to the RICO charges, Young Thug received seven new felonies for drugs and weapons found at his home when he was arrested Monday. He was also denied bail for the drugs and guns case, with the judge calling him a “fugitive risk.”
