Vadah in Stockton wins Best Asian Restaurant award

Vadah, located in Castlegate Mill, Riverside in Stockton, was awarded Best Asian Restaurant at this week’s Asian Restaurant Awards 2023.

Ahmed Siddique from Darlington, manager of Vadah, said the restaurant was shocked to learn it had been nominated for the award after being recommended by a mystery restaurant.

He said the employees only found out about her nomination after a call from management at the Asian Restaurant Awards.

Mr Siddique said: “Honestly it was a shock, it was a great feeling.”

“This is the sixth award we have won since we were nominated, it’s always a great feeling.”

“Every time we win, it motivates us to keep going and keep improving ourselves and the industry.”

“Since we started we’ve always changed a little bit in terms of what we do, the food we offer, the quality, the ingredients we source, they’re all fresh.

“We listen to customers and sometimes offer something based on that. I think that will bring a lot of success for us too.”

“We just hope we continue to win these awards that keep giving us.”

He said the restaurant has been thriving for nearly a decade, attributing the success to its location in a particular area and the quality of service provided.

Vadah is currently ranked second out of 467 restaurants in and around Stockton on TripAdvisor.

The Vadah team thanked customers for their continued support in online mailing.

Customers and local residents reacted to the news online by praising the restaurant for its “well-deserved” award.
