Vanilla Ice looks back on Madonna who proposed to him in the 1990s

“Things went so crazy and fast man. I just thought, ‘What?! I thought the guy should do that [propose]. What do you mean? Wait a minute. That is too fast. I’m just starting out here and I’m way too young for it!’” vanilla icecream remembered on Only Jenny with Jenny Hutt podcast. “So yes. it was crazy The more I think about it, the crazier it was.”

vanilla icecream and Madonna first met in the early 90’s when she attended one of his shows in New York City when he was in his early 20’s and she was in her early 30’s.

While he was initially excited to see her “dance her ass off” in the crowd, vanilla icecream found fast Madonna “intimidating” because of her star status.

“I remember she came back into the dressing room and greeted me, and she gave me kind of sexy eyes and I was like … ‘I must have been very, very wrong about that,'” he recalled.

Co-founder of SBK Records Karl Koppelman (Who is the podcast host Jenny Hutt‘s father) then told vanilla icecream that he was not mistaken and Madonna was actually interested in him and made an appointment for her.

“It got weird. And I didn’t know what was going on… My whole life is a snow globe.” vanilla icecream said publicly Madonna. “Do you think Justin Bieber was crazy? You have no idea what I went through, holy moly… My snow globe shook.”

Though the world is watching vanilla icecream he said and Madonna had a “normal relationship” behind closed doors.

“If you take them away [celebrity] Factor… you have two people dealing with two people. vanilla icecream explained. “It’s basically just her and me, and at that point it was nothing like any other normal relationship.”

Just let it go and you go your way and I’ll go mine,'” vanilla icecream remind. “And she kept calling me and she wasn’t happy with it and upset and I had to hang up a couple of times but that was it.”

However, vanilla icecream still admired Madonnawho says she’s “amazing,” “a legend,” and one of the greatest of all time.”
