Victoria Beckham on Aging and Being “Comfortable” with Who You Are

Ictoria Beckham has said she doesn’t want to be in her 20s anymore as she used to focus on what she felt needed improvement, but now she’s “comfortable” with who she is.
Beckham rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of girl group The Spice Girls but later turned to the world of fashion and beauty.
She said she adopted her looks at 49, but admitted her husband, former England footballer David Beckham, has never seen her without her eyebrows done.
When asked how she feels about aging, she told the Sunday Times: “I’m comfortable with who I am, I accept how I look, I make the best of what I have.”
“At 49 I feel really successful professionally and personally. I’m thinking about how to apply my makeup. But I like how it feels to be older.
“I don’t want to be 25 again. I was the kind of young woman who would look in the mirror and see what needed improvement versus what actually looked fine.”
She continued, “I’ve always been pretty hard on myself, but that’s why I’ve always strived to be the best version of myself.”
“It’s not about changing anything, it’s just about seeing the best version of yourself.”
Today, her signature style has largely moved away from the Spice Girls heyday and through her eponymous fashion label, she’s known for sleek silhouettes with lots of sleek, floaty dresses, palazzo pants and color blocking.
Beckham revealed she’s undergoing some laser and skin tightening treatments, but stressed that she’s “not trying to turn back the clock.”
“I think it’s about the little things. The same goes for makeup, it’s about not doing too much, which can really age things,” she said.
“I was at an event recently and people had very big (crowded) faces. There are some scary options out there.”
However, she admitted that she fell victim to the over-plucked brow style and now drawing her brows is the first thing she does every morning.
“Over the years, my brows have been plucked so severely that you would be horrified if you saw me without it,” she said.
“David has never seen me without my brows. They are the first thing I do: wake up, raise that eyebrow.”
