“We loved it” – Joy at Ouse View when Bruno the dog pays a visit
Barchester’s Ouse View Nursing Home in Fulford received a visit from a chocolate lab named Bruno, causing “a great deal of excitement” among residents.
Pets as Therapy handler Melissa Armitage said: “Bruno had a wonderful afternoon, I don’t think he’s ever had so much attention.
“It was nice to see that the visit brought so much joy to the residents. I think it’s fair to say that Bruno’s fan club is definitely growing.”
All of the residents enjoyed the visit, petting the animal, who obviously appreciated meeting their new friends.
Managing Director Rebekka Richardson said: “All of our residents are fascinated by Bruno and we were delighted that he was able to visit us.
“It was great to be able to ask Melissa questions about working with and caring for dogs. We enjoyed hearing all about the different personalities of dogs.”
