Welcome to Wrexham: Brentford FC have “relocated” to Hexham.

The map was featured in the second series of the hit show Welcome to Wrexham, which stars Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as owners of Wrexham FC and follows the teams’ journey to promotion from the National League.

While the map was intended to highlight football teams across England and Wales, eagle-eyed viewers took to social media to share details of the errors.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, London-based Brentford FC pointed out that their team’s badge had been moved more than 300 miles away, in Hexham.

The team wrote: “We are just a bus stop in Hexham. We have questions @WrexhamFX.”

Not only had Brentford ‘moved’ from Essex to the North East, Newcastle United fans also pointed out that the club had moved 140 miles south to central Lancashire.

Outside the North East, other teams happened to be missing from the map including Oxford FC, who had moved further west to Gloucestershire, Nottingham Forest in Lincolnshire and Hull City, who had moved from East Yorkshire to Scarborough in North Yorkshire.
