I can’t quite remember the exact quote, but the sentiment pretty much says that the more you try to fool people, the more likely it is that something will go wrong, and that’s in 2023 Netflix Thriller is proof of my poorly worded misquote.

With kindest regards is a Dutch chiller film directed by Andre van Duren, with the help of Elisabeth Lodeizen and Paul Jan Nellisen.

It tells the story of two friends with an agreement that allows them to continue their nefarious activities, using each other as alibis. Bodil and Isabel are married, but they have a bad habit of cheating on their husbands behind their backs and telling their partners they are each other, which provides a perfect alibi for both of them.

It’s kind of the adult equivalent of telling your parents you’re staying with a friend, and they tell their parents they’re staying with you. In reality, the two of you were at an all-night party that wasn’t nearly as good as you’d imagined, and when your boyfriend’s parents decided to go and see where Ryan was, everything came crashing down like a house of cards, like how anyway, and you were both grounded and lost your gaming rights.

In this presentation, however, Isabel is killed when the two are meant to be together, and the intricate web begins to unravel.

South Holland, Netherlands

Therefore, most of the main plot of this twisted story was filmed in South Holland, The Netherlands. South Holland is a province in western Netherlands.

It borders the North Sea to the west, and Utrecht and Gelderland can be found nearby if you head east. The area is broadly as you would expect with an industrial focus on farming, fishing, manufacturing and horticulture.
