It’s hot on his heels To all the boys I’ve loved before Also written by the New York Times bestselling author, the trilogy of films was extremely popular and successful and starred the young actress Anna Cathcart than the popular Kitty character.

In this new series of stories, Kitty, now 16, makes the big life decision of moving the world to South Korea to see her long-distance boyfriend again and hopefully learn more about her late mother.

It turns out that the school her boyfriend Dae goes to is the same school her mother went to, so Kitty decides to enroll in that school. However, things don’t turn out the way Kitty expects, and so begins a journey of discovery for our main character.

Where was ‘XO, Kitty’ filmed – a breakdown of filming locations

South Korea, Seoul

So if you’re wondering if the crew actually traveled all the way to Korea to film this series, the answer is yes, they certainly did.

There may have been a point early in production where locations were discussed and while it probably would have been possible to shoot in the US and make it look like Seoul, the team decided to close the show and film on location authenticate.

The main photography would take place between March and June 2022 and there are some places that we could discover in the country’s capital.

Shopping center Ssamzigil

This place on the corner of Insadong in Seoul is a beautiful place to visit if you like shopping. The open space mall has plenty of restaurants and things to see and was used in some scenes of the show.

Stylenanda Pink Hotel, Myeongdong

A scene in episode one is filmed here and in the surrounding area, where Kitty walks past some shops.

Kaywon University of Art and Design

This building was used for the exterior shots of the KISS boarding school where Kitty is enrolled.

The building is located in Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

Independence Hall of Korea, Cheonan

Many different locations were used for the KISS school scenes and this is where the talent show was filmed in episode eight.

Incheon, South Korea

Scenes of Kitty’s arrival in Korea were filmed in Incheon, more specifically at its international airport.

Goyang, Gyeonggi Province

In the tenth episode, where Kitty returns home after her adventures in Korea, filming takes place at the Korea International Exhibition Center in Goyang.

Seojangdae, western command post

This location was used for episode four. KISS students go on a hike and this is where these scenes were filmed.
