Whistleblower Claims FBI Diverting Resources from Child Trafficking Cases to Investigate Jan. 6

Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio joined Tucker Carlson on his Fox News show Monday, telling Carlson and his viewers that a new FBI whistleblower had told him agents were being removed and reassigned from child sex trafficking cases, to investigate “domestic violent extremism”.

Jordan, like Carlson, was referring to the tone prevailing in a speech by President Joe Biden in Philadelphia three weeks ago that has become known as the “red speech.”

“Tucker, they’re juicing the numbers and they’re cooking the books, and they’re so focused on that that they’re willing to pull agents out of child trafficking cases to further that narrative that you were talking about — that Joe Biden in before the Independence Hall with red background, clenched fist… [was] we’re talking about half the country being extremists.”

Jordan continued, “So keep in mind that previous whistleblowers came to us and said they were pressured to label cases as domestic violent extremism. This whistleblower came forward and spoke to us about how they falsify the books and make the numbers appear like there are cases across the country when in fact they are all related to January 6th.”

In a new letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, written Monday, Jordan stated: “[T]The whistleblower announced that the FBI is sacrificing its other important federal law enforcement duties in order to continue the Jan. 6 investigation.”

“For example, the whistleblower recalled being told that child sexual abuse investigations were no longer an FBI priority and should be escalated to local law enforcement agencies,” the letter said.

“Such an attitude is not only a violation of the FBI’s mission to investigate violations of federal law, but does a grave disservice to victims of child sexual abuse and other crimes that fail to advance the political agenda of FBI leadership,” added Jordan.

According to Jordan, the whistleblower told him: “The manipulative practice of the files results in false and misleading crime statistics.

Do you trust the FBI?

“Instead of hundreds of investigations stemming from a single black swan incident in the Capitol, FBI and DOJ officials point to a significant increase in domestic violent extremism and terrorism in the United States.”

Jordan noted in the letter, “Such an artificial case categorization scheme allows FBI leadership to misleadingly indicate a ‘significant’ rise in DVE threats across the country.”

He continued, “The overwhelming majority of FBI special agents and frontline personnel are dedicated law enforcement officers dedicated to protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution. But we have repeatedly heard whistleblowers describe a “rotten” culture within the FBI’s top leadership in Washington. Contrary to your belief, the FBI is not immune to oversight or accountability.”

Jordan praised the whistleblower’s credibility, telling Carlson, “Well, we think he’s direct. We think he’s honest. We think he’s a brave guy for coming forward.”

Jordan also revealed to Carlson that the whistleblower was found out and suspended from his job.

“And what happened now? Today we learned that this latest whistleblower has been suspended from his job. So there’s retaliation against this guy for coming forward and telling us what’s going on,” he explained.

Jordan tweeted, “The FBI took action against a whistleblower. This comes after the same whistleblower told us that the FBI is withdrawing agents from the child sexual abuse investigation to focus on the January 6 investigation. Unbelievable.”

According to Fox News, when contacting the FBI, the FBI responded, “The threat from domestic violent extremists is persistent, evolving and deadly.”
