Who will win today’s 3rd ODI?

West Indies (WI) and Bangladesh (BAN) meet in the third ODI on Saturday 16 July. This is the final game of their three-game streak, with Bangladesh sealing the streak 2-0.

The Tigers rehabilitated after disappointing earlier on the tour. They recorded a six-wicket win in the first ODI and backed that up with a nine-wicket win in the next.

With their win on Wednesday, they also took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. Their bowlers were impressive once again as they bowled the West Indies for just 108 in 35 overs. Mehidy Hasan picked up four wickets while Nasum Ahmed picked up three. The guests prepared the game again with a brilliant ball control.

Their batsmen then made easy work of the comeback to finish the game in just 20.4 overs, with captain Tamim Iqbal scoring an unbeaten fifty to lead from the front. In doing so, Bangladesh once again proved they are a far better unit in the ODI format and recorded an all-out victory.

Meanwhile, after dominating Tests and T20Is, things have gone wrong for the West Indies in the one-day series. They failed to break the 150 mark for the second time. Their performance in the second game was worse compared to the first.

With the series already lost, West Indies will look to end it positively with a better performance in the third ODI.

Can West Indies (WI) beat Bangladesh (BAN)?

Bangladesh go into this game with back-to-back wins. They had an excellent all-around performance in the second ODI which will boost their confidence. It’s commendable to see that they’ve put behind the woes of the Test and T20I series to strike back so convincingly in the ODIs.

West Indies struggle with their punches in this series. Your thugs must face the opportunity to challenge the optimistic visitors in the final game to salvage some pride.

Tamim Iqbal’s visitors have now beaten the West Indies five times in as many games and have continued to enjoy a successful run in the one-day format of late. They will likely beat the hosts again and complete a 3-0 win.

Forecast: Bangladesh wins.
