class 07 is the new Prime Video series starring a stellar cast of Australian women trapped in the midst of a watery apocalypse at their high school reunion. It’s a fun take on the survival genre with a very specific Aussie sense of humor, mixing gross gags with the odd bit of brutality. It debuted in full on March 17, 2023.

This is the catch of class 07, a survival comedy from Prime Video shot with all the spiteful enthusiasm a gang of 28-year-olds might be capable of after living in the remains of their old all-girls high school. The cause of the disaster is some kind of vague climate catastrophe that cracks the ground and water squirts through the cracks. Soon everything is flooded and the old campus becomes a floating island from which escape seems impossible and survival – at least for most – increasingly unlikely.

With the show being a simple binge-watch and leaving it wide open for a sequel, viewers have already speculated about its possible future. Here’s everything we know.

At the time of writing, there hasn’t been any official confirmation of a second season getting the green light. Prime Video will want to keep a close eye on how the show is performing with audiences, tracking metrics like total watch hours and how many people who start the season actually finish it. Critical reception will likely also play a role, although there aren’t enough reviews for a Rotten Tomatoes score just yet.

class 07 leaves definitely open to a sequel. Season 1 ends with all the main characters alive, Zoe and Amelia out at sea and everyone else preparing to fight off an invasion of what looks like a boatload of bachelors. That means there’s potential to expand the world of the story, further explore the existing characters, and maybe introduce some new ones.
