Wingate woman accused of smuggling drugs into HMP Humber

Kirsty Wright, 29, of Beachdale Close, Wingate, is accused of smuggling the banned substance into prison last year.

According to court documents, Wright is alleged to have brought, thrown or transported a substance called Subutex into HMP Humber in North Cave, near Hull, on August 19, 2022.

Subutex, which is used as a substitute for opioids such as heroin, morphine, oxycodone or codeine, is listed as a prohibited item in the Prisons Act.

She appeared at Hull Court House on Wednesday (August 30) where she was released on unconditional bail pending trial.
