A woman accused of drunk driving and killing a bride on their wedding night sobbed in jail after being arrested in South Carolina last month.

Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, also expressed regret and frustration and feared she would spend the rest of her life behind bars.

“I can’t believe this is my life… and my whole life is going to be over,” she said in a recorded call with her parents at a North Charleston jail received from The post office and the courier.
“Oh my goodness. I just can’t believe this happened to me. … Why me? … I’ll be here for many years to come.”
Police charged Komoroski with drunk driving – her blood alcohol level was 0.26, more than three times the legal limit – after police said the Toyota Camry she was driving collided with a golf cart, killing Samantha Miller, while she was still wearing her wedding dress On April 28, they injured her new husband, Aric Hutchinson, and two other people in Folly Beach, south of Charleston.

Her father told her to “hang in there” and “get tough” during the call.
“I can’t,” she moaned. “I want it to be over.”

According to detention center logs obtained from The post office and the courierWhen Komoroski arrived at the county jail smelling of alcohol and with bloodshot eyes. She reportedly hit her head on a nurse’s desk, was denied use of a telephone, threatened to harm herself and became hysterical. Prison officials placed her in a bondage chair, where she continued to cry and banged her head, the records say.
Police claimed Komoroski was strolling through the pubs before colliding with the golf cart. She is also accused of driving at 105 km/h in a 40 km/h zone at the time of the accident.
