A WOMAN was shocked to wake up to discover a small child had pulled over her socks.
Passenger Julia Valentine had removed her shoes and was nodding, her feet pinched, in the small gap between the plane wall and the front seat.
When she woke up from her nap, she found that the child sitting in front of her had taken it upon herself to give her crisp white socks a chic new design.
Purple and blue scribbles were now all over Julia’s left sock, leaving her in shock.
She shared footage of the unwanted doodles online with the caption, “I woke up to some random kid drawing on my white socks…”.
The video was picked up by Instagram account Passenger Shaming, who shared it with their 1.4 million followers.
Sharing some advice on how to board a plane without shoes, they said: “We get asked a lot if we should wear socks on planes and we 100% agree… IF they’re clean, don’t smell and are in.” Stay in your own area and not leaning on different parts of the aircraft.”
Other people agreed with the kid’s actions, and one said, “If your feet are anywhere to ‘dress’ then they’re in the wrong place.”
A second said: “Her feet were in her space, it became her paper.”
Flight attendants seem to agree with the child, with many suggesting that shoes should be kept on throughout the flight.
Cabin crew member Raven Johnson said, “Yes, they clean the planes a lot more than they used to, but you’re still not home.”
Another companion wrote on Reddit: “I promise you 9 times out of 10 there’s no water on the floor.
“The toilets are often absolutely disgusting and are only thoroughly cleaned at the end of a route, for us this could be from one end of the world to the other…imagine how beautiful they are at the end of a 12 hour flight with 200 people using them you.”
Meanwhile, this passenger was yelled at for taking off her shoes on a flight.
And this passenger put his bare feet on the armrest of the man in front.
