Wootzano starts US operations with Avarai robotic system

With this US expansion, Wootzano – which won New Company of the Year at the inaugural BUSINESSiQ Awards – aims to help solve the workforce’s problems in the fresh produce packing halls and create job opportunities in the technology sector.

The cutting-edge technology uses powerful AI and computer vision technologies that allow the robots to learn and improve over time. Avarai can handle perishable fresh produce gently, ensuring minimal food loss through the embedded electronic wrapper.

The partnership is the joint effort of many organizations including the Fresno County Economic Development Corporation and the British Consulate General – San Francisco.
