Liv Morgan’s controversial win at WWE SummerSlam resulted in the suspension of Ronda Rousey

Liv Morgan won the SmackDown Women’s Title on Money in the Bank last month, snatching the title from then-champion Ronda Rousey. The Baddest Woman on the Planet had just wrapped up a grueling match with Natalya when Morgan cashed in her Money In The Bank briefcase, which she had just won that same night.

While Rousey wasn’t happy about losing her title, she respected the New Jersey native’s killer instinct and tenacity.

In the weeks that followed, the former UFC champion secured a rematch at SummerSlam in Nashville, TN. The fight would serve as Morgan’s opportunity to show that her title win wasn’t just a fluke. However, their successful title defense at Nissan Stadium has only opened the door to further doubts.

In the final moments of the match, Rousey was able to lock in her famous armbar submission. Liv Morgan was able to roll her onto her shoulders to attempt a pin, but before the referee could count to three, the champion tapped out. Unfortunately for Rousey, the referee didn’t see Morgan tapping out and awarded Morgan the win with a pinfal.

This led to a chaotic fallout, with Rousey beating up the referee. This would prompt the company to both suspend and fine the cross-promotional star. No timeline has been given for a possible return of The Badest Woman on the Planet.

Rumors are circulating that Rousey is in the plans for WWE Clash at the Castle. Only time will tell how true or false these speculations are.
