York Hospital Ball Radio will host a charity quiz night in York City

The event will take place on Sunday 25 June (7pm) and will include a live mini podcast and Q&A with former Press sports reporter Dave Flett.

It will be held at Haxby Sports Bar, but any supporters unable to attend in person can participate via Zoom.

Tickets for the event are also free, but only if you register with Eventbrite.

Quiz Night offers York fans the chance to test their knowledge of the club, with rounds featuring all eras of the city’s history.

Dan Tait, who runs the York Hospital Ball Podcast, wants to bring the York community back together.

He told the press: “This is the amount of time every football fan hates; the time between the end of a season and the start of the pre-season where without football you often don’t know what to do with yourself.”

“This event aims to try to change that and bring the York community back together.

“The podcast has been listened to in over 50 countries from Australia to Kazakhstan, so we’re trying to bring the quiz to the city fans who live around the world.”

“To my knowledge there has never been an event like this in York City, so we hope people have a good time and at the same time we can raise awareness for York Hospital Radio.”

Tickets can be purchased via Haxby or on-line.
